I am in no mood for this today BUT...
6:30am-9:00am-Stop Sign Hike
9:15am-10:15am:Breakfast--Sam's shake!
10:15am-11:00am: All or Nothing Nutrition--The world has made us believe that healthy eating is restrictive eating. It doesn't have to be! Build more flexible thinking with food. Find foods that satisfy, but WON'T trigger you to overeat. Satisfaction is essential when eating not numbing. Eating consistently is important because you don't want to get too hungry. Be in charge vs in control of your food. Think about your food values. For example, when I eat dinner earlier I feel better when I sleep. When I am out to eat, I feel better choosing healthy options because my skin feels clear and my clothes feel better on me. Your plate should be balanced but you can be flexible with your options: 1/2 fruits and veggies, 1/4 carbs, 1/4 protein, and add a fat (avocado, oil, butter, etc).
11:15am-12:00pm: Hip Hop
12:00pm-1:00pm: Floating in the pool with Shelly, Sherri, Marcus, and Olga.
1:00pm-1:45pm: Lunch
1:45pm- 2:30pm: Motivational Tools--Visualize the steps you will take to achieve success. Have the end in mind. Imagine how you will feel when you get there. The blueprint of doing is creating a routine.
Set a goal: it needs to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timebound.
2:45pm- 3:30pm: Treading--You select a cardio machine and go hard for 5 min then easy for 5 min, hard for 4, easy for 4, etc... for every cardio class my goal that I set for myself is to burn at least 400 calories. This class is not an easy one!
3:45pm- 4:30pm: Tabata--There were 8 exercises that we did 20 seconds on then 10 seconds off. We did 32 rounds. It included planks, squats, push ups, jumping jacks, ropes, medicine balls, pushing punching bags, and burpees. By the end of the class I thought I was going to just fall over!
4:45pm-5:30pm: H2O
6:30pm-7:30pm: Tami's presentation of 52 Peaks--It was another amazing story about a woman who reclaimed her health and life thanks to Movara!
Reflection:
Today I was beat up after the stop sign hike. I don't sleep well here, so my body feels very tired plus the working out all day. I took Aleve and pushed through it! It just reaffirms to me that we all can do much more than we think we are capable of! It also helped to have good company! The people that I have grown close to have positive energy and we have fun working out together! My advice to anyone who struggles with getting to the gym is to get buddy to workout with. It will be more fun and you will be held accountable!
